Hextall and Killer to Van

Here is a scenario the Canucks should consider for their GM and coach combo.

First off, we hire the ankle breaking, loose cannon who is known as Ronald Hextall, as our GM.  The former assistant GM for the Kings has been groomed in one of the best organizations of the past 10 years -- a team that has started from the bottom and put together one of the best cores in the NHL. It's a group that is deep down the middle, has depth in net and on defence and is led by one of the top five defensemen in the world.

Sorry --- you already knew this.

Hextall has been given a load of credit for contributions to the management in LA and will be the confident GM Vancouver needs. How about that contrast; we have the gentlemanly Trevor Linden paired with the fire-cracker Ronny Hextall.

Now for the coach I got two options:

We hire the Killer, Douglas Gilmour. He has been honing his craft in the OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs for six seasons and has had some up-and-down success... ahh hell, the only reason I want us to hire him is because he is the KILLER!!!!

Now here is who the Nucks need to really hire: Ralph Krueger.

This guy should still be in the NHL. The Oilers under him last year saw a great deal of improvement and, in particular, the Oil's powerplay was great. This year, without Kruegs, the Oil fell right back down to the bottom.

Krueger is well respected, which is evident by team Canada bringing him in to give the staff a better understanding of the european style of play.

Ralph deserves a second chance and Vancouver, with the current group we have, is the perfect situation for him

I got to run. My parents are dragging me to church.
